The Center provides information to the public on issues relating to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Furthermore, the Center advises citizens on the procedures to be followed in their dealings with the Ministry and its various Departments related to the provision of several services to the public. The Center informs and advises on subjects such as the following :

• verification of documents issued by foreign authorities
• catalogue information about the foreign missions in Greece and the Greek authorities abroad
• scholarships in Divinity studies, Byzantine Music and Hagiography (religious painting) in Greece
• scholarships of foreign and Greek citizens for undergraduate or graduate studies in Greece
• access to the archives and collections of the Service of Diplomatic and Historical Archives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
• provision of official translations by the Translation Service , verification of documents issued by Greek authorities to the concern of foreign authorities, verification of signatures on maritime documents
• visas for sailors through the representatives of shipping companies, enlistment of foreign sailors in Greek ports
• temporary workers' and student visas, visas for foreign ensembles and athletes
• visas for commercial negotiations, tourism and work from the countries of Central and Eastern Europe as well as the Commonwealth of Independent States
• vacant posts announcements and examinations concerning permanent employment at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
• issues of compensations and of social security services of Greeks abroad
• requests of emigrants and repatriates
• certificates and passports of Greek citizens abroad  (permanent residents)
